    To The Frontier
Our civilization once spanned the solar system. Its ruins are still out there: buried in the dunes of Mars, hidden in the jungles of Venus, lost in a wild and abandoned Earth. For centuries we’ve huddled under the safety of the Traveler, protected from our enemies. Now, a new era has begun, and the only hope for our future lies in unlocking the greatest mysteries of our past.

There is only one day left until the launch of the Destiny Beta on PlayStation 4 so Bungie has made the official application available to download from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. While officially this is the Bungie Mobile app, the application has been tuned to focus on everything you’ll need to get the most out of Destiny and the Destiny Beta.

As IGN reported, with the Destiny app on your supported iPhone (iPad support coming at launch) or Android device, you can check your friends list, view and make changes to your characters in real time and check out the Tower. Additionally, the Destiny app will allow you to pour through the game’s deep lore through the Grimoire cards collected while playing the game.

Finally, the app can be used to check extensive stats so you’re always up to date on where you are in your progression through Destiny.

Storyline / lore / races / character classes
The story arc of Bungie’s new online persistent world game, Destiny engulfs the human experience, casting us 299,792,458 meters per second — 700 years into the future . . .

The Traveler, a massive, Moon-sized globe, hangs over the Earth, emanating a mysterious source of power and strength. The Traveler has finally brought sanctuary to the human race — humankind, who finally had mastered technology. The humans who had built the Golden Age  unified technology into their culture and had skillfully adapted environments far beyond the confines of Earth, expanding human colonies throughout the Milky Way to Mars, Venus and the Moon.

The heroes of the Golden Age had formed genial hybrid structures that moulded their mechanistic forms into the landscape, forming advanced citadels with domes, spires, towers and plazas. These techno-pioneers had synthesized the powerful implements of technology into potent, mechanistic bodysuits, powerful, destructive weapons and lightning-fast space vessels with highly developed weapons systems.
